Tom joined Johnson ReSource Group in 2012 after having produced the Company’s first brochure and website shortly after JRG began operations. His background is primarily in advertising and marketing, and he has worked in or consulted for ad agencies and marketing communications firms. Tom also owned a private consulting firm and founded an internet start-up in the advertising industry.
Tom’s practice focuses on Creative Services, placing “difference-makers” needed by advertising and media agencies, consumer products companies, design firms, and branding consultancies to accelerate growth. He deals primarily with Creative Directors, Media Directors, Business Development Directors, Brand Managers, Interactive Marketers, Digital Designers, Program Managers, Account Managers and other impact positions in the industry. Tom also has a particular specialty in placing qualified executives in technology start-ups and mature turnarounds, and has worked with angel / seed-stage investment groups, private equity firms. and asset recovery groups in major banks.
Tom graduated from St. Xavier High School and Marquette University, and he fondly remembers the basketball glory days with Al McGuire. He is very active in his community having served as President of the Pleasant Ridge Community Council, and he currently is a Board Member of Elementz and Heartprints, two Cincinnati nonprofits focused on at-risk children and young adults. Tom is also a volunteer consultant with Executive Service Corps of Cincinnati, and is a tutor / mentor in the Whiz Kids program through City Gospel Mission.
Tom and his wife, Cherie, live in Pleasant Ridge and are the parents of three children – Amanda, Greg, and Matt.
